I'll paraphrase as Ryan didn't supply a link...

FB4-SE is sold in four versions, outlined below:
FB4-SE Standard includes the FB4 main board, OLED display, network port and SD card memory. $695
FB4-SE RDM/DMX includes the FB4 main board, OLED display, network port, SD card memory and RDM/DMX daughterboard. $755
FB4-SE ILDA includes the FB4 main board, OLED display, network port, SD card memory, and ILDA-in and ILDA-through daughterboard. $735
FB4-SE Plus includes the FB4 main board, OLED display, network port, SD card memory, RDM/DMX daughterboard and ILDA-in and ILDA-through daughterboard. $795

If the FB3/Quickshow is anything to go by, expect to pay ~$200 under those by the time the resellers have settled down a bit.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

will used FB3s be cheap and kill sales of new in-stock already FB3?

maybe I am not understanding this
-"If the FB3/Quickshow is anything to go by, expect to pay ~$200 under those by the time the resellers have settled down a bit."

It means the FB3 can be had for 200 bucks under suggested retail.

Well, for me, as it stands, I don't want to buy an FB4 because it doesn't fit with my control infrastructure.
As ever YMMV, but its not a solution that'll suit everyone by any means, which is why it sits alongside the FB3, rather than supercedes it.

I agree with this. I actually am going to be ordering 2 more FB3s in the next few days.

Norty (and drm916), don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to argue with you. You are most familiar with what you do and how you do it.
But I just want to understand: How exactly does the FB4 not fit in you architecture?

As I mentioned earlier, I don't feel the need to get one yet and don't see a mad rush for individual laserists to start to grab them. Even in my video above, it sounds like the FB3 will continue to be supported and manufactured. As Bill said, "Plug it in to anything and... it just works". Where I think we'll see them most in say, year one at least, is being integrated into projectors from Kvant, Laserworld and some other large manufacturers (like 506's and Discoscan's) - maybe used for specialty applications and installs. I DO like that fact that it's got automatic IP addressing. (If I understand what that is....) Hopefully it means you just connect an Ethernet cable to your projector and then one to the computer and it simply recognizes it and works, just like an ILDA cable. Or, if you're using multiple projectors with FB4's and a router, it sets everything up automatically. I sure wouldn't want to fumble with having to mess with IP addresses and get frustrated trying to get everything "talking" to each other correctly.

Someone at FLEM also mentioned that the life expectancy of an OLED screen apparently is not that long which makes me wonder, if that's correct, why OLED was selected as the screen of choice.
