40 people confirmed so far, with potentially another dozen or so who are thinking about it. That number is is just for registered attendees. There will be guests, I'm sure, as well.

BlueFang and PolishedBall - got you both on the list! Both of you, please check in with David Kumpula, as he is working on a presentation schedule and it might need to change based on when you guys can be available.

BradleyJay: I know you and Zach are working on things. Keep checking, and please keep me in the loop. A suite really starts to pay off once you get 3 or more people in one.

Francis from Laserworld has offered a ride to anyone flying in to Charlotte, if the times work out. So if anyone is flying in to Charlotte and is looking for a ride, get in touch with me and I'll put you in touch with Francis to see that will work. (Kang, this might be exactly what you're looking for!)

Also, if anyone has door prizes they'd like to donate, please contact me ASAP. A few people have stepped up and offered some cool things this year, but it is always nice to have more things to give out! (We don't have many door prizes at all this year.)

Reminder: Load-in starts at noon on Wednesday, August 12th. We may actually be there a little before 12 noon. We only have 5 hours to set up though! So if you can arrive on Wednesday to help with the load-in, that will be *GREATLY* appreciated! Even if you've never been to SELEM before, your help is still valued! Really hoping to see some happy faces on Wednesday to help us load all this equipment in...

best wishes all for a great SELEM

anyone wishing to help get Sam back needs to contact Laserman 121 zach- or buffo (but don't add to his workload plz.

Bradley brought Sam last time-& did not get much in gas $$ (I gave him 20$ from the donations 'hat' and was kewl w/ that-- If no one else can bring Sam -even thois he already preformed that for SELEM before with help he may do that again as he lives close to Sam.

    update

just read Zacks post -I '*think* its means Sam is coming-

sweet- !! now regretting even more that I cannot attend--len

    UPDATE #2

-- please ALL attending--you all should know who Sam is- and if many send a little gas money to BradleyJay (PM him for where to 'gift' PPal- gas money- ( he got VERY little for doing this the last time BTW)

-- IMHO is a bit harder to pass the hat once at SELEM...- its best done before if possible- any extra gas money will be put towards Sam's lodging- you can trust Bradley 100% to take care of this- 1 or 2 more may be needed to full a suite (Sam bradley -& Zach are wanting a suite- BESURE to request a two bed suite -otherwise it will juast hAVE A QUEEN BED IN THE BEDROOM-- the HIE has the better type of rollaway beds BUT a limited nimber- so reserve a extra bed asap OR bring an airbed w/ you- three is a regular couch in each suite (& a full size kitchen) we squeezed 5 for one night a few yrs back- that helped w/ cost
ANd the HIE is very nice about changing rooms- switching to a suite etc- linens-pillows etc are at the front desk for the asking-- IF you are sharing a room w/ someoen who is leaving before you you can move to another room/suite for that night- uts ez & I have actually stayed in two rooms and one suite at the same SELEM-- you need to ask around--

Really sorry you can't make it this year, Len... But yeah, things can get tight at times. Lord knows I've been there too man.

Regarding Sam, I think Bradley is looking into options with Zach. I was under the assumption that Sam didn't have a problem paying his own way, but rather that he simply could not drive at night (bad eyes) and thus needed a ride to and from the event. I would imagine that Sam would be willing to kick in for gas/food to whomever offered the ride (that's reasonable, in my book), so hopefully they can work that out.

I don't think anything is confirmed yet, but there is a lot of effort going on behind the scenes with those three.

    Tentative presentation schedule -

Could you guys go ahead and post that (separate thread, perhaps?).

I know a presentation schedule is subject to many changes between now and SELEM, but still might be helpful for overall planning purposes -
such as whether or now to try to make side trips on certain days!

    Thanks!

Yeah, David Kumpula is putting the finishing touches on the presentation schedule. I've asked him to post it as soon as he's done.

    Hey Folks,

Sorry for the delay on the schedule. Its going to be a packed one this year. You can find the current version located here: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...938#post316938

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask Adam, the presenter or myself.
