This thread got real creepy, real fast.
Did we ever get a DJ? If not I can bring a bit of my DJ stuff to keep the music going![]()

Sweet.....
I usually tend to write a recap at the end of the day but, I can't say much was overly eventful.... aside from getting started late due to a miscommunication with the venue. Well.... not exactly late for set up but late for an early appointment to see the gymnasium next to the cafeteria as a possible new rental space. As long as we don't have anything that uses electricity, it's a great space.
Seriously.... not an outlet to be found. We'll have to go straight from the panel and wire the place the way we need it but, much higher ceilings and a slightly larger footprint. Approximately 52 wide by about 68 long but it looks much bigger with having nearly 30' ceilings.
We're disastrously behind schedule.... and have a fully packed day. But the infrastructure of putting this on it getting bigger and more complex. There isn't even anything hanging on truss yet. The other scary thing is there is no scheduled "tinker" time. No "window" to have that problem or issue you brought to be resolved, or to get looked at. I'm sure it will happen but, this is going to be the busiest SELEM yet and Saturday afternoon when you're hearing the Pangolin talk and realizing the weekend is basically over is going to come far too quickly. First to lase though was flecom.
Dinner was moved from Texas Roadhouse to El Paso, an extremely reasonable Mexican place where there is no way you can leave hungry. Many thanks to Francis from Laserworld for generously an unexpectedly picking up the tab. Great guy by the way and I'm certain we'll have him corrupted (and addicted) by the end of the weekend. If he hasn't bought a quadcopter within a week, I'll be surprised. Regardless, I don't see it as his last LEM.
The bodies are rolling in left and right and it's extremely exciting to see old friends and get to know some new ones. Lot's to do. Lot's to do.
