One of these days, I guess I'm going to have to do the Trott House. That is... if there is ever any rooms left, now that the secret is out! I'm kinda liking the idea of being able to walk to the venue versus the 10 minute drive.

Worse is missing the cinnamon buns!I understand Ann is a good cook and everything but....
We don't know for sure that there will be an LSO class this year. We have been fortunate to have had one the last 4 years, but I haven't gotten in touch with Greg to see if he is free to teach the class this year. Also, we will need a minimum of 6 people to sign up in order to hold the class. I don't know if we will have that much interest or not.
I will post back here once I hear from Greg.
Hi Rick!
Sounds great! If you can bring all that gear, that would really help. Just found out that we won't have as much equipment as I had originally planned for Club-SELEM, so if you can bring the extra gear that will be great. I might be able to bring some bounce mirrors too. Also, if we can figure out how to mount them, Brad has some mirrored balls that we'd like to hang in there. (About time we tried the "laser rain" effect!)
Finally, does anyone know Brian Panther? I'm racking my brain, but I can't place the name to save my life. He's registered for SELEM, but I don't know what his forum name is...

PS: Sorry for the late reply. Been dealing with an underground water leak at the house! All taken care of now, but it was a real pain in the ass...
My $.02
I'm guessing it would have to be more than just Pluto's. Otherwise why would members have any incentive to bring their projectors?
The auditorium has moved from being laser "soup" to being a well matched set up and ClubSELEM became the "soup". If we make the Club just a well matched "Pluto only" set up... where do people like Laserjock and others (such as you and your 6 watt) go to be able to experience seeing their projectors running as part of a big show? Having the 6 (or even 7) Plutos ganged together on the Advanced ILDA Router is great and I'm sure there will be times when that's the primary set up running but, the Club certainly needs more than just 6 lasers.![]()
And yes... after bringing all the mirror balls two years in a row without being unpacked... if they're coming a third time.... we gotta finally try this laser rain effect.
Don't worry about me. I've set up back stage for the last two years, but I see your point.
Club-SELEM will definitely be more than just the 6 Pluto projectors on a truss! For one, Rick (Hitekvoop) is talking about bringing his entire traveling rig, complete with a beam rail, multiple RGB satellite projectors, and bounce mirrors. Also, we plan to have two extra trusses set up in Club-SELEM for people to mount their projectors on. And there will be a ready supply of tables for people who have projectors that can't easily be mounted to a truss. Plus there will be a lot of non-coherent lighting in there...
The idea is to have a few larger control stations set up where people can play with multiple projectors, but there will also be plenty of room for people to set up just one or two projectors and run them on their own controllers if they want. (Just be sure to bring enough ILDA cable!) And while there will be times when we want everything on all at once, if someone wants to experiment with just one or two projectors, we can turn the rest off for a while. As always, Club-SELEM will be very organic, and it will no doubt be changing and evolving throughout the event.
But yes, we must have laser soup in Club-SELEM! And we will.

Just registered!
Anthony, we met last year, I had the other 3 PJ rig below the big truss in SELEM. I've made a bunch of upgrades throughout the year and now I'm up to 7 PJs and each have FB3, so if you feel like color correcting, be my guest! It's my goal to be there as close to noon on load-in day as possible.
Tour Hazer II is one my updates, what a fantastic machine that is... Quiet and potent!
See everyone in Aug!
