You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?
I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
Hmmm, you have a point there, Norty. Beyond would let me run my 40K scanners at 40K, at the price of learning new software.
But I'm a QShow user, and I understand Beyond is pretty close, UI-wise.
Best practice, of course, is Beyond through 506s...
Gotta think about this.
Thanks...Mike

You don't have to do too much differently to simply step over to Beyond, its a natural progression from QS.
Even if you get 506's, you're still going to be limited to 30k in QS, and at that speed, animations with a reasonable number of points will still flicker, regardless of the quality of the scanners. The frame rate is simply too low.
Assuming you keep the angle low, a lot of scanners will do good smooth animations at 40k+ - the 506's will do it a bit wider is all.
IF you are getting distorted images, try going smaller on the image, and seeing if you can get the projector further away.

I have 14 Amp Boards in the set-aside pile. I am going through them for Clickamouse and one other user who needs a replacement.
This is the best I can do. I am eagerly awaiting the arrival of the Pangolin digital amp.
I would like to thank everyone who purchased the analog amps from me.

When I still could have...
Beyond and QS are essentially the same for basic operation. The cue grids are the same (except on a black background), the basic live controls the same, the FX the same. Where the differences arise is when you start to dig below the surface into the settings or additional controls. If you can control QS, you can control Beyond at the same basic level. The learning comes when you get serious or want the next level of control.
If in doubt, best download a demo version, but there's really no difference to the very basic control.
I've been going through the Beyond tutorials and manuals. OK, I'm sold; you guys all talked me into it.
Looks like I've got my work cut out for me: for the next two months I'm programming a show for a Celtic Festival, because why not?
Does anyone have experience with importing video and tracing it?
Thanks...Mike
