Can really say, as I havent tested the new diode. They work fine with the usual blue / green diodes

Has the 3.5w older diode been tested do you know? The new ones seem to have the same beam profile.

The lenses work well with the 1.6w diodes is it? They should be fine with the higher power diodes, in any case you will find an optimal distance from the diode to the first cylindrical lens
