I think I am going to pop in for awhile on Saturday and bring the 60gb of files from Pangolin Show Collectors (Facebook). If anyone wants a copy of it, it's free. Just have something to transfer 60gb onto.

Cool! I just paid for one to be shipped to me and, I have the original hard drive with me now as I'm sitting here at the LEM but, the USB stick is supposed to have some things the hard drive didn't, plus be more organized. I'll take a backup.

As a heads up, a lot of this has been in the wild for a bit and, it's not always complete shows or, always with music. I've previewed a number of things I didn't recognize and they all don't necessarily play right.

While I tend to document these things with a recap of the days events, yesterday for the most part was fairly quiet with the bulk of the day spent dealing with set up and trying to source heat. With the sun came cooler weather and, it's a bit chilly here. Mid afternoon a large diesel heater appeared and helped make things a bit more comfortable but the venues existing heaters weren't making a dent. There was general meeting and greeting throughout the evening and a number of people taking turns playing with Sal's Z-5c. One of the new things I learned was actually using an analog synth for doing beam effects and I'm looking forward to trying it at home.
    .
I suppose the highlight of the evening and what took an awful lot of time was firing up Vidal Wolf's Coherent Purelight Star which finally was accomplished around 10pm and was heavily photographed once she lit. I'm useless when it comes to ions so, it was an evening of walking back and forth from the heater to the band of people gathered round tinkering. Today should be more productive and we'll start ramping things up in a couple hours.

i spent too many hours watching the feed last night and wishing i was there.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

What a nice time to meet new people make friends and catch up with old colleagues. Best part for me was getting on my hands and knees on that cold floor and working thru the 3-phase "Wild Leg" situation. Plus to watch Pat walk thru the steps in tuning that Spectra Physics. You can tell he still "Loves the light".
Super time had by all, Thnx :-)Click image for larger version.

Another LEM I'll be sad to see end. It's interesting when you make it to a bunch of these things how uniquely different they are. I've been a little "fish out of water" since you're limited in what you can bring when you fly so, it's been about more wandering from conversation to conversation.
    .
The best part for me though, has been associating the faces with people and screen names I've been communicating with for years.... people like slicklasers, Vidal Wolf, Phready1, Kyle Garner, Laserman532, seeing Casey Stack again and of course those that I've seen a number of times before, sugeek, platinum, discothefunkyhippo, drlava and meeting new faces like 10fenny and Robin and so forth. I almost want to go back and re-read old PM's and threads so I can realize, Oh... that was you?!?" Sorry if someone has escaped me but, I think you get the idea.
    .
I've said it before and will say it again... if you are at all into this hobby or think you might be, make the effort to get to a LEM. They are always tremendous learning experiences and you'll often see things that will blow your mind. I was rather cold and tired last night with a bit of a headache and about to pack it in, and suddenly the magic happened when a unique grating was placed in front of my projector that was running some Swamishows and I was good for another couple hours.
