Hello friends.
Very nice the video and the synchronization.
Is it possible to obtain files ILDA of beams of this type?.
One would like to be able to reproduce them in some shows with Spaguetti.
Best Regards.

Excellent show Adam. When I have time I'll read the doc and see how the mind of the Jedi master works.
Juanma;
I will need to check. I *think* I can export the show as a large stream of ILDA frames. If so, then you could re-create the show in Spaghetti. I just need to be sure that there aren't any secured frames used.
Thanks to everyone for the kudos. Honestly, to create shows like this it really only takes time. The first few shows anyone makes will be just so-so. But as you spend more time making shows, you will get better. And at some point everything just sort of "clicks" together, and you end up with a show like my Rising show.
Since it has been so long since I've released anything, I really need to get back to work and finish some of the shows I have on the desk. (I have at least 6 shows in development at the moment, but none of them are ready for display.) I also have ideas for another dozen or so, but I have no time!

Are you programming them in LD2000, Quickshow or Beyond? I'm guessing LD2000.

4 of them are in Showtime, and 2 are in Beyond. One of the Beyond shows even has DMX cues for the beam rail. But they're all at various "sticking points" in the creation process where I've sort of painted myself into a corner and don't like where I'm at. One of the Showtime shows is nearly finished, but I really hate it and need to re-do a lot of it. The rest are anywhere from 25% to 50% done.

I'm trying my first c-c-c-country song. It's a new low for me.Don't hate.

Hi, buffo.
It be be to him very grateful if you can export ILDA; I would be charmed with testing with these graphs and seeing since them there reproduces my projector (DIY).
Best Regards.

Not at all, Brad. Every genre of music has it's gems. Alternatively, enough money can help almost anyone to 'suffer through'.
It's funny you say this though as just yesterday I was listening to my 70s pop and rock collection in the car and John Denver's "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" came on. It made me wonder if I could do a light and laser show to it. I think it would be kind of entertaining . .
A few years ago I did a pseudo-country light show to Nancy Sinatra's "These Boots Are Made For Walking" which turned out OK, but not something I have ever bothered to video. You 'gotta love the 60's though. Short skirts, go-go boots and big hair . . Awesome!

"Help, help, I'm being repressed!"
Hi Juan;
Unfortunately, I only have the "export to ILDA" option enabled on one of my QM boards, and that particular board is currently in the Netherlands being repaired! (D'oh!) However, I checked the frame file, and I'm sure that all the frames are unsecured. So anyone with a Basic or Pro QM board should be able to change the projector settings to "output to ILDA" and save the show as a string of ILDA frames and post that frame file here on PL. (Brad, don't you have a Pro board?)
Jason, I agree 100%. And once I "release" a show, I almost never look back. The few times I've re-edited a show after it's release were only in cases where there was something glaringly wrong. (EG: once I released the wrong version; I published the "in progress" file instead of the "finished" file.) Even though my Rising show could benefit from a few more hours of tweaking, I'm not going back to it.
With regard to the material I'm working on at the moment, I am at a crossroads of sorts. Most of these shows were started a long time ago, before I knew much about shows. So many of the lessons I've learned recently are not incorporated into these semi-finished shows. I don't want to start over, but I also don't want to finish them in the same lousy style that they started in. So I need to do some selective editing.
There are a couple shows that I am hopeful about. But they are more complicated and time consuming. And to make matters worse, I just ran across a remix of a song I absolutely loved back when the Amiga computer was still popular. Thinking strongly about doing some kind of Amiga tribute show (mix of graphics and abstracts) to this new tune, but it will be a huge undertaking, and I doubt I'll have the time. Sigh...
I'll be the first to admit that I'm no country music fan, but I think "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" would definitely work well for a laser show. It's catchy and up-beat, and it's very well known so the audience will surely recognize the tune. It also has a well defined tempo, so beat-matching the show should be a slam-dunk. In my head I can already see some cool places for beam hits in the song. Honestly, I'd kind of like to see what you come up with for this one!
Some songs defy musical genres. I'd call "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" more of a folk song than a country song, but I still remember hearing it on the top 40 radio stations when I was a kid. (And yeah, I was singing along like the big goober than I am!) Any crossover hit like that is going to be a good candidate for a laser show.
Not to mention some really great music!You 'gotta love the 60's though. Short skirts, go-go boots and big hair . . Awesome!
