Beautiful huh?![]()
Will there be three phase!!!!
All those old school optical bits get my blood flowing!
If you're the smartest person in the room, then you're in the wrong room.
The spinning whozits then bouncing off another spinning whozit. And the "chop" set up. Just plain cool.
Funny thing is, the overall output isn't necessarily as impressive as compared to some of the things possible today but, I'm certain it was mindboggling then.

those old skool beam tables and effect systems are simply beautiful works of art. The alignments and optical trains are just mind boggling. I would love to know who made that.
Nice find Brad! With all of the Laser gear you have accumulated, cant you make one of those about 4 miles long??![]()

Nice vid, but this thread would not be complete w/o a nod to our own 'Cap'n KTP', who also designed this beauty.. http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...1&d=1200521300 ..and owns simply the 'Best PJ-deal Ever' story: http://www.photonlexicon.com/forums/...1897#post41897

Seconded. Sadly, beam tables really are a lost art. Beam tables with bounce mirrors, spread about a venue... I miss those photonic spiderwebs. Nowadays, the name of the game is daisy-chaining as many PJ's, front and center, as possible. Static beams, bounced around still do it for me. To me, today's aerial shows are the equivalent of this:

Best analogy, I've seen so far![]()
Oh my...... This could be the stimulus I need to get another build on the go.......
This space for rent.
I love this! Those tables took some skill to build. Today, seems like it's buy, solder, do the paperwork, then quickly back to sitting in front of a computer screen.
