    My old setup was 500mW 532nm dpss , pushed hard mitsu g71 638nm with daves cyl correction and 1w 445nm blue turned down to match others

    TBH, whilst it's worth trying to pursue a good balanced white from the manufacturer so as to save lost watts when balancing it out, the reality is there's no substitute to ultimately making power curve adjustments and using palette training in the software, which is probably why Pangolin made it so comprehensive in Beyond.

    My projector has 680mw 638, 500mw 532, 1W 445 (official figures) - so 1.4:1:2 if you like, and I reckon it's probably a little green light as the white is a bit warm (638 is a very powerful red), I've always thought it would probably look better as 1.4:2:2.

    However, after palette training with Beyond it looks like this:

    I reckon this is a pretty decent white (apologies for the camera noise - it's taken from a video shot on a GoPro):





    So although it's a good idea to try and get the best balance you can out of the box to save money on wasted watts, it's important not to place over emphasis on the projector as it comes from the factory, as there's no real substitute for software based fine tuning.
