    Width is going to be the limiting factor. You've got room on the depth, so worst case we could trim the baseplate with an electric jig-saw. But when it comes to width, the galvo amps are all the way to the edge on the one side, and the green laser driver was all the way to the edge on the other side. There might have been some slop in the measurement if you pulled the tape from the outer edge of the case, since that ignores the channel in the middle where the top and bottom shells attach...

    But if the actual aluminum plate is 14 inches wide, then I think we're screwed. (Been too long since I built that one - I can't remember if the dimensions were even numbers or not...)

    Speaking of jig saw, does anyone know if one is coming? I just bought some aluminum that I was thinking of bringing and my saws are buried in my storage facility about a half hour from home and there is simply no time to go look around and grab one.

    those are the outside dimensions of the AL box.. the baseplate is shorter -- maybe 1/2" on each side. We'll just have to see for sure soon enough!
