    you either have:

    1) two bad etherdreams (highly unlikely)

    2) a network problem (please describe your network)

    3) projector wiring.

my guess is 2. please post pics and video of your issue.

Thanks for trying to help. There is nothing wrong with my projector. I have been using it for several years and it has been connected to practically every DAC out there without issue. (Except for Etherdream). There is nothing wrong with my network. I mean, how could there something be wrong that only affects portions of an ILDA image but nothing else in the world?

I'm just going to sell the DAC and move on. The fact that it doesn't work right and the manufacture of the DAC provides little to no assistance says it all anyway. I don't need the DAC personally and I am not going to waste time supporting something that isn't supported by it's manufacturer.

    Considering this case closed.

    gary,

i'm sorry things didn't work out. i don't know what interactions you and jacob had regarding the etherdream, but several times i've asked you for photos and video of the output and i've asked you for information about your network setup.

not providing that information makes it hard for myself and others to provide assistance.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

No worries. I would have provided that information earlier but its kind of a moot point right now. That's not a jab at you, btw. I appreciate the help that you have provided.

Wait a minute. Can we review the timeline on this issue?

On Oct 13, Gary indicates that he encountered an issue with an Etherdream that he couldn't readily identify. A written description (without video or pics) wasn't something that other ED users have encountered and posts come into that effect with some suggestions.

Oct 15: After having not received a reply from either J4CBO or Illumination Supply by email or IRC, Gary posts that he is unhappy with support.

Over the following 5 days, Gary communicates with the developer and others on IRC (and e-mail) in an attempt to isolate the issue. Gary also identifies an error with OSC handling in the firmware and communicates that the ED driver is logging to the program files directory instead of a more appropriate location. The source of the original issue has still not been identified.

On Oct 21, J4cbo indicates that he will send a replacement ED in exchange for the old one.

Nov 3: Gary expresses frustration regarding the unresolved issue and having not yet received the replacement ED. He posts that the location of the ED log file makes it "unfit for use", calls the product "Ether Nightmare", indicates that "customer support is pathetic and a disgrace" and furthermore "isn't possible to work with the developer". (I won't quote the last sentence of the original post.)

On Nov 6 Replacement Etherdream arrives. It performs the same as the prior one, suggesting potential problems with optimisations in LFI Player & Spaghetti, or some other driver compatibility issue instead of the Etherdream itself.

Nov 7: Gary has not posted any video or pictures, but Swamidog installs LFI player in an attempt to reproduce the problem. Swamidog indicates that he is able to get acceptable output from LFI player, but optimization settings must be set correctly or "the output looks like rubbish". Gary indicates that he does not get the same output, but is having problems capturing pictures. At this point, it is agreed that the Etherdream DLL and Etherdream hardware appear to not be the cause of the problem.

Nov 8: Gary indicates that he is giving up trying to identify his problem.

    So what's missing here??
