    shipping isn't cheap from china to UK.

    I had asked the DHL,FedEX,it is about $50 one time under 0.5kg.

    Yeah, andy has a point. Also, why would the package weigh 1/2kg? They could put it in a padded envelope and send it anywhere in the world 2-3day for $20!

    i can send a pointer anywhere in the world, for £7 international sign for. a pointer is gona be 5 times as heavy as a beam splitter

    In fairness to bridge, those are FedEx and DHL prices, not standard air or surface mail, and I think it's the same price for 0 - .5kg from both.

    Try claiming for a lost international delivery when you sent it via our good old post office, regardless of the service and insurance value you pay for. You'll soon realise why some only use the bigger boys to ship internationally.

    I hear what you're saying, I felt the same until a package I sent internationally (via the Post Office) went walkies.

    It's only when you *do* have a problem that you realise why the bigger couriers are more expensive, IMHO.

    yes,DHL and FedEX is much expensive,and the same price for 0-0.5KG

    of course, you can choice the post office, it is much cheaper.
