Cool Yet Another ILDA Editor (Free Software)

    Hello everybody!

I developed this simple software for my cheap chinese generic SD RGB Laser.
It should work with others lasers that use ILDA Format 0, but currently it supports only 7 colors.

    Important things:

    - It is free.
    - Cross-Plataform. (Windows, OS X and Linux)
    - Can save and open format 0 ILDA files.
    - I'll probably support/update it for sometime.

    Requires:

    - Java

    Features:

    - 7 Colors.
    - Grid.
    - Onion Skin Mode.
    - Fast to use for Frame-by-Frame Animation.

    is that.... mitosis?
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Fhaze I would recommend dropping any of the older ilda file formats and focus on ILDA format V5
This the ilda version that supports true clolor RGB values of 0 to 255 for each color.
Don't support palleted ilda files anymore
    Here: http://www.laserist.org/StandardsDoc...9_rev05pt1.pdf
This format is also recommended because if you ever want to do more with your ilda files like fading: This is the ilda file format for you.

Your TTL laser projector will automatically trigger when the signal voltage reaches its set driver signal threshold.

Regarding replacing your drivers for little cost: I know a good chinese driver alternative.. they are switching meaning you don't have to bolt them down and can just wire them and glue them somewhere inside if your projector if you are not into drilling holes to mount linear regulators. They aren't the fastest modulating drivers (as compared to linear drivers) out there but it's neglectable really and way better then TTL and for a cost of 13 dollars per driver including shipping you can't go wrong. Hit me up and I will link you to the sales page.

masterpj, that you just wrote makes a lot of sense.

Since I developed this application before I got my real laser (I had a simple 300mw SD Card Laser, no ilda connectors).
I was lacking a simple program to simply draw something and output it by copying it to the sd card, this was sufficient for that propose.
But now I really want more, if I develop a new program, I'll certainly use ILDA format 5 and 3D stuff as well.

About replacing the drivers, I sent you a pm.

Most SD card readers only support format 0 without palette (format 2) included.

In addition if you go with PJ's suggestion support format 4 instead of 5 because format 4 is 3D and format 5 is 2D. With format 4 you get the most functionality.
