During my correspondence with Rod Waters regarding his time at Korad (Ted Maiman's early laser company after he left Hughes), he also told me a little about his time at Florod, the company he started after Korad. In that discussion, he recommended I look for the model LFA to add to the collection I'm building. Well, I found one and it's in great condition. When I picked it up, I was expecting a YAG or ruby laser, but instead it turned out to be a pulsed Xenon laser instead! I love it. Another plasma tube saved from oblivion!
Here it is, the 1984 Florod model LFA laser trimming system in excellent condition. It weighs about 400 pounds so it'll be staying in this location for a while.
