Default Scan Angle Issues - Laser Underperfomance

Hi everyone. I'm using a 150mW CR Laser. The stated specification of the field of view / beam angle is stated to be +/- 20 degrees in the manual. Taking some measurements using the ILDA Test Pattern I only get about 25 degrees all up, instead of 40-ish. Has anyone else had similar problems with a scanner? Did you fix it?

My inkling is there might be a power issue - the galvanometers aren't being driven to what is required.

If you're getting 20 degrees with the ilda test pattern I'd be very surprised. The standard is 8 degrees and most scanners won't make that. If you're seeing 20 degrees then my guess is either you're miscalulating the angle or the pattern is far from perfect. As for 40 degrees generally , should be possible depending on the scanners and the cue complexity.

Turns out my test pattern is not the standard. Interesting...

Nevertheless, hoping someone has a magic trick.
