Care to elaborate a bit on this ?

Sure, I will elaborate. I been trying to replicate Planter's frequency shift set up with the P73's to get a tighter alignment. The last rig that I tried this I did not have enough cooling. The Tec's did their job, but the base plate cooling was not great, so I milled three sets of water coolers to put under the tecs:Click image for larger version.

ID:	49843I then placed the tecs on top of the sealed water coolers:

Now the reds will go on top of base plates, but the middle tec will be warmer (or cooler, it depends). There are some really neat and inexpensive One Wire temp probes that I am going to glue on number 1 and number 3 diode mount. The tecs in turn are controlled using a high voltage ardunino motor shield. The software that I'm writing will take the ambient air temp and drive the tecs as far down as it will go, based on the ability of the water cooler to cool down the hot side of the base plate. The program will then "autotune" the red temps so that number 1 is 10 degrees warmer or cooler than diode 3. So far I got the entire rig down to -25C, with the water temp at +25C on the warm side of the tecs. I'm swapping out the radiator for a larger one this week, so I'm hoping for lower temps. The ardunino is really cool--it will control the red temps, drive the cooling fans, provide input modulation voltages 0-5 volts to do alignments, swap the XY axis--basically everything that you see at the back of the laser case, but on a little touch screen and all for under 100 bucks. And of course, I'll post the code. I'll do a separate post explaining the new rigs when I get the first red module going and aligned. But for now, I'm in need of parts!

Returned PM but forgot to change title (same as you) ...sorry ! but 6 x lenses/barrels all go from my end...thanks!)

Off topic but can't resist !
    @ fearless........Fantastic stuff .... " One Wire temp probes " ?
I think an entire new thread is in order for this really interesting setup! Red mix via prisms & water cooling with arduino control !
