You’re right... this thread is surely the most boring ever. Old and frustrated men discussing...

There are problems with this statement.

If it is so boring then why are you reading and posting on this thread.

You are disparaging old men. Wisdom, knowledge and resources develop with age as well as perspective. We are all getting older (hopefully) and wiser, some much faster than others. Regarding men, are there many women posting ANYWHERE on this forum?

Who are you implying is frustrated, Trump supporters? Or, the disappointed supporters that voted for HRC?

Oh, and Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukah to everyone!

Electronic interconnectivity will be at least as significant a development in human history as the printing press. It may even rival the importance of those truly singular events such as writing, the control of fire and the smelting of iron.

Attempts at control through censorship, selective publication, systematic distortion along with straight out and out lies go with the territory. They cannot be stopped nor should they be. That is the dangerous myth of the eugenics movement of the early twentieth century. Rather, it is through the natural selection (free market) of good vs bad ideas that we progress because no one is able, from an Olympian and completely unbiased prospective, to determine for the entire world, what will prove to be "good" for us and what is "fake news". Let's read it all and decide for ourselves.

I disagree with your "Truman" comparison. Truman was heroic, he struggled with the lies and finally went through the door. so did Neo. But, both these comparisons are flawed as well because there is not "one great big secret". A better comparison is the allegory of the shadows in the cave by Plato or "The Great Divorce" by C.S. Lewis.

DSLI_jon- that is an excellent video. The FRA of 1913 was supposed to be a 100 year experiment (passed in the night of Christmas Eave 1913), it has gone on 103 years... The experiment will conclude at some point and when it does, then and only then will "the people" realize (see things with their real eyes) what has occurred.

What would all these "government employees" do if no one supported them? They have no other talent other than robbing people while shaking their hands and kissing their babies.

For the most part the general public are totally asleep and in a trance like state when it comes to reality, it could be the whole matrix thing.

In the spirit of Christmas we should all pause for a moment and just be thankful for everything we have, that has not YET been stolen from us by government through their monopoly on force.

Thankfully the Russians have not stolen Christmas from us yet.

Merry Christmas to all...or Happy Holidays for SJW's...

Obama signs in the NDAA for 2017 - combating "fake news" by creating a "ministry of truth" - so much for Freedom of the Press...Propaganda Much?

The term "Foreign" is peppered throughout the Act. Undoubtedly, it will be used and attempts will be made to abuse it to limit domestic/citizen"s free speech. This will be challenged up to the Supreme Court. THAT is why it was so important that Trump will be appointing the next couple of justices who are much more likely than anyone Hillary (or most of the other Republican candidates for that matter) would have put there. They are far more likely to be originalists than activists, legislating from the bench.

Nevertheless, congress is clearly out of control. They are the next target.
