And in my opinion US is very likely to be affected in the future if the political culture remains the same.I'm sure when it becomes an actual issue in US these self proclaimed "liberals" will change their attitude. Just look at jeejeedr's post on the 6th page, the guy is from Belgium, terror attack happened there just few days before his post. I noticed this just now.

I've noticed something interesting lately, the most vocal group speaking out against islam today seem to be atheists, not christians as you might expect. You'd expect equal criticism towards all major religions but islam seems to be their main focus lately.

I looked at the statement and I believe he said that if a woman had an ILLEGAL abortion that she should be punished. If that is true then...duh of course she should. Obama's selective enforcement of the law is corrupt and wrong.

Regarding the Nukes, he said it would be better if S. Korea, Japan and Saudi Aribia had Nukes in the context of reducing their dependence on us for the deterent. I would disagree with his view that S. Arabia is an ally. G W and Hillery love the Saudis. Did you hear they now want to execute gays?

I watched the town hall and saw those comments too. Yes, that was what he was alluding to and saying that right now, we're providing and funding a lot of those countries militarily with very little in compensation for it so the feeling was either pay us more for that service or, it might be better to let them develop their own nuclear defense system - particularly with them being IN the region where the threats are occurring.

And do you guys understand how law works? Like seriously, does anyone here understand what abortion being illegal means? Because it doesn't sound like you do, the same way you don't seem to understand what illegal immigrant means and the history of how and why these laws were developed.

Law is, surprise, surprise, usually written form of the moral views majority of a country agree on. Law *is* morality. Now, if you are so called "pro choice" (like ME), your morality is that you don't consider a fetus a human being, thus it doesn't have rights, such as right to life.
If you are so called "pro life" it means you consider a fetus a human being. I'm about to blow your mind: killing a human being is murder. Paying someone to kill a human being is illegal as well. If you consider fetus is human being, then killing or paying someone to kill a human being is illegal and punishable.
I mean god damn, is this honestly that hard to grasp? And have you honestly never though of this before?
If you say you think fetus is a human being which has a right to life but only the person killing it should be punished, not the person ordering it, you're a moron.

I find it depressing that despite scanning every word he says that when what he says is grossly distorted that there are so many people that will accept the distortion as opposed to the actual statements.

Socrates' first admonition was to "know thyself". The media and Washington (indistinguishable) and our publicly funded universities have created such an echo chamber for the group mind that it becomes very difficult to think outside this box. But it must be done! Otherwise, TechJunkie is right. The ants are those that function without independent thought.

As much as I despise or current ruling elite, I have to admire their success. They ride the wave of political ignorance and nativity. The reason that many royal successions occurred through the middle ages despite the fact that some of the individual rulers were moronic, syphilitic or psychopaths was because the SYSTEM was in charge. The ministers and bureaucrats with their ties to the clergy and the wealthy actually ran the country.

This is what is so incredibly obvious with this current election cycle. "TRUMP MUST NOT WIN!" Sanders will not be able to prevail against the machine pushing Hillery and even if her imprisonment made him president he would be largely ignored and the system would survive. Trump really scares them. These are bad people who use government to become wealthy and to control the lives of other citizens and they need to be stopped.

And since again I'm not afraid to admit I have little knowledge in this particular subject, can anyone confirm that military help to these countries only means help with nuclear deterrence? Because I highly doubt that. And hasn't the US been providing military aid to Japan and S. Korea way before N. Korea started developing nukes? Same with Saudi Arabia, who was a nuclear threat to them?
