I've been resisting the urge to jump down the rabbit hole of modular synths for years...and suddenly I'm aware of its bridge into the ILDA world.
    This is trouble.
Good thing I'm not afraid of a little trouble
...though I am afraid of being broke.

Damn ya'll. I was completely ignorant of Eurorack or any of this until trying to figure out what this thread was about. I saw the one at SELEM last year and had no clue what I was looking at. So now you've made me fall down the rabbit hole of reading and searching around the internet about this...... aaarrrggghhhh...
So I guess I ask the scary question.... you buy a rack to mount the stuff in. What's the first module you buy in order to begin playing with this? Feel free not to answer!

I have a thermin gather dust. Brad if you want synths I can hook you up. I have no joke about 25. I build motm not eurorack. For laser, none of the osc are going to work you need quadrature Plus, all the filters and such are really not useful. Laser is pretty much pure oscillators. Now the LFO's and maybe envelops could be interesting. Anything with high harmonic content is going to look messy.
