Hippy Homebrew He-Ne
Today's flashback to the late '60s comes courtesy of this wonderfully built homebrew he-ne, made right as the decade came to a close. It includes a plasma tube made by Metrologic, and was built according to the instructions published in the December 1969 issue of Popular Electronics. Very good job I thought, and the purple paint on the cover has acquired a nice "patina" of age. And I'm really happy he included a start button. Almost 50 years later, that feature gives it a distinctly '60s look.
