    Default Mounting EMS scanners

    Hi folks,

It's been a while and I'm glad to see PL is still an awesome place. I am finally getting around to building a second projector using Eye Magic 4000 scanners. The scanning block has one big hole in the bottom to attach to the base plate. It seems like there should be a second mounting hole to the base plate to keep it from rotating. Do you think its worth drilling a second hole through the scanning block?

No, I currently have my scanners mounted with one bolt to the baseplate. I haven't had any trouble with it rotating and the bolt is only hand tightened.

Same here, I had this block mounted with just one screw and it was fine, as it uses all the square surface to hold in place.

If you'd like to be sure, just try to move it by hand once tightened
