Building a RGB projector and need help with what MW lasers to put in

Hello all,
I am building a RGB 2000mw projector and need some help on the perfect combo of Green mw, Red mw and Blue mw lasers to use to make the 2000mw and look real good, Any advice will be very helpful.

Also can anyone recommend a good USB DAC in the $200 to $300 range that is better then ISHOW

The perfect color ratio seems to be a bit subjective from what I gather. A lot of people say that 1:1:1 is ideal but then it is also mentioned that our eyes pick up green light better than red and blue so less green is needed. Perhaps a 2:1:2 (R:G:B) ratio is better. I have a Lightspace laser that has a ratio of approximately 1:1:2 and it is definitely a bit blue heavy at full power. I feel it is also largely dependent on what wavelengths are used and the beam quality of each laser. A projector that uses 650/660nm red generally needs more power than a projector using 635/638nm red. I assume the same is true for 445nm vs. 472nm blue. Also, a fatter beam with lower power density will need more raw power to compensate vs. a lesser powered laser with higher power density

I think you would be safe going for around 700mW per color assuming the beams are corrected and matched well. Otherwise you could try 800mW blue and red with 400mW green or somewhere in between. Make sure you factor in optical losses for beam steering and correction.

I didnt. I built it myself from scratch. Only things I didn't make where the driver, scanners, laser diodes, optics, and power supply and mounts and case. That was a joke....

look ok it sounds to me like you want to just buy a module add scanners and a case and go. Buy your projector finished or do a lot of reading. There is everything you could ever ask posted on the forums.

i walked a couple people from start to finish and frankly I'm kind of tired right now. Read what was posted.
