So, if their DAC works with other software, I'm wondering if their software works with other DACs...
Definitely not with the initial release and I wouldn't expect it anytime soon (just my opinion). The software is what gives them IP - and the motivation for hardware sales.
As an app developer trying to support multiple DAC vendors - I can tell you it is a huge PITA. There is no standard. It is almost impossible to get in touch with legacy DAC devs (like Riya) - and the DLLs that do exist are 10 years old, 32bit Windows only drivers.
There is definitely something to be admired about the elegance of controlling both the hardware AND software.
So has anyone tested this with lsx? Or is that a future option?
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
Mine arrived today.Works fine on a Windows 10 machine. Win 7, that I don't do any windows updates to, not so much. The other thing I noticed is the link on their startup page for the windows version of the software is actually mac software I believe. Had to download the correct version from the Reddit page.

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?
I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.
Just to let USA users know, giving Wicked Lasers a A+ Kudos! Live in Tampa, Fl. Ordered a Laserdock dongle and a new set of safety glasses on Oct 8th, and it was sitting on my door step when I got home today, Oct 13th! Five days from China to US, outstanding, in my opinion!!
Now to hook it up to my cheap China, 500mW, 10-15K, TTL projector and see how it does!
I have a new 1W, analog, pure diode projector, Magnum D1000 unit on the way. This appears to be the same unit that they use for the "complete" Laserdock unit.
Went this route due to the complete unit unavailable in the US.

While I fully appreciate the fact that many people have their issues with Wicked with regards to ridiculously high powered laser pointers and trade in the US without a variance, etc., I *will* say that my experience in getting the LaserDock dongle and even an issue I had getting it has been very positive with good, clear and fast communication. I don't know if they'll ever manage to get this projector actually through CDRH and be able to sell it here but, they claim it's being worked on and based on what I have seen thus far, they might really be trying. I also think the Laser Dock is just scratching the surface on what may be accomplished with a device of this nature, as the software matures. Just my opinion...

Having trouble getting Win7 to load driver for the dongle. Device manager shows "Laserdock", but no driver loaded. Downloaded latest software from the reddit thread, rebooted and driver still doesn't load. Tried the visualizer software, shows "device not connected" Any clues?
