    Default Wicked Lasers Laserdock dongle

So, who knows anything about it?

I've just impulse bought one based on the apparent sound-to-abstract functionality, and fact a quick skim read seems to show it can be used as a DAC for LSX, Spaghetti, etc which i may want to have a play with in the future.

So, who has any more details, am i correct, is there some config software for zone sizing etc?

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

    norty,

there are controls for color adjust, size, input sensitivity, etc... that's all controllable by the software that runs on the host machine.

wl is working the developers of many software packages (lsx, spaghetti, maxwell (i think), and others to they will work with the dac.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Thanks. I think it'll be a great addition for me existing shows there I might have my big projectors doing beams via my Beyond setup and I can add some interesting projected content from a second controller independently.
And it'll allow me to finally have a play with some other software.

i'll let them speak up, but i think the general consensus was: "wow, this is better than i expected".

in the interest of full disclosure, i have been working with WL behind the scenes and i shot some of the video for their campaign. however, i don't have anything to do with sales and don't get any sort of commission.

I was swayed at SELEM. I have had products in the past were supposed to go to the beat of the music and they were around $100 and at the end of the day sucked. This device has real potential. The patterns that the device came with and shown at SELEM were interesting enough that I never got tired watching to see what came up next. Many of the patterns appeared to really change to the beat of the music. I also liked that you could manually pick patterns as well if you want to. But the real hope behind this device is the SDK that is supposed to be released. From my understanding this product will eventually allow you to create your own pattern in something like LSX, Maxwell, Spaghetti and then use that pattern along with the other patterns already loaded. It may not be as seamless as drag and drop but the hope for me anyway is that I can create a base pattern and import it into Laserdock. That way at a party any type of music can be playing and some of my patterns can entertain people.

I did not go to SELEM, but I bought one yesterday and can't wait to get it.

It looks like it will be useful in many situations. I already own Spaghetti and Maxwell, and having this will motivate me to learn them better. I see myself using the laserdock in sound active abstract mode the most, to augment what I project from Beyond. Looks like fun - checking tracking updates!
