    Default Duty Cycle

Has anyone ever calculated the average "on" time percentage for a diode during an average laser show, also taking into account the analog factor with "on" not always being a full on 5V.

Trying to figure out some heat dissipation issues and want to take in account that my continuous duty test rig right now isn't real world.

I suppose i'll run a full show and take thermals before an after, but am curious if this has already been done.

No way to calculate something when it is different for every situation. But usually at least 2 of the 3 colors are on. So, I'd go with at least >66%.

There was a test run about 7 years ago by tocket where he extracted the duty cycle and average pulse width over the course of a random show. An fb3 was used so there is always some internal blanking, other dacs would most likely yield different results. I do not recall the data dealing with the variable of the laser gain.
