... for fun I tested the 24x2W diode module (three rows each 8x 2W-diodes) - I only have a power supply with max. 31V ... the module needs 36-38V for full power (so current only up to max. 800mA ... max. it can handle 4.8A) -- in the "far field" it has interesting distortion of the 3 diode rows:

The "spot" has about 3mm diameter, which was sufficient to shine the beam into the "mirror tunnel" of the beamer, where it was then "homogenised" before it went onto the DMD chip ...

... hmmm ... long time no update
In the mean-teime I've exchanged the borrowed (for 6 months) 20W-UV-DPSS-Laser for a 10W (bought by my company) ... and borrowed a "green" (532nm) Picosecond-laser with 20 Watts averaged and 2.5 Megawatts peak power for 10 picoseconds long pulses
For the 200W and 270W 975nm-IR-laserdiodes I've got some even stronger with 310W and 360W ... and for some "tinlering", for "cheap" 10 pcs. with 135W (all same housing dimensions and fixation) ...
