    Default What do you drive?

So when I'm not building scanners, one of my passions outside of work is 4x4s/trucks/working on cars. Just curious what everyone here drives, thinking it would be interesting because our members are so spread out around the world!

My old former daily driver 03 Chevy Silverado 4x4. Unfortunately at about 11mpg it isnt the most econmonical to drive around town and to and from work. Mostly used these days for going back and forth to my hunting camp 6 miles back in the woods and pulling trailers...

Just picked up this 2014 Camaro a few months ago to replace the worn out Pontiac behind it... kind of stole it at the price I got it at, right before it was to be repossessed by the previous owner... too fast for me but I like it. But I've learned I certainly prefer trucks and bigger vehicles...

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

07 Dodge Dakota - 4.7L. You think 11mpg on your Silverado is bad? I get about 9 most days...

Did have a hard tonneau cover on it until it got blown off in a storm... Found it a couple parking spaces away, thankfully never hit anything.

There's a lot less turnover in my garage in the past year since things have been so busy with the business but currently, 2005 F150 (not pictured because it's boring), 1989 Pontiac Trans Am, 1993 volvo 240 that's going to get a V8 swap, 2013 Nissan NV2500 which I fill with lasers and my 1995 Suzuki Intruder

Its shocking how bad those Dakotas are on gas. My college roommate had an 04 with the 3.7L V6, and he got about the same as my silverado

Yeah, they're really bad on gas, especially in this town where you average 30km/h between all the stop signs and traffic lights. I'll get 18mpg on the highway at least... High octane gas bumps it up 1-2mpg usually. Big exhaust and cold air intake probably don't help any, nor does my rather heavy right foot... Next vehicle I'll be picking something with better fuel economy for sure, although nothing smaller. Need a decent sized vehicle this far north...

You are using Bonetti's defense against me, ah?

I thought it fitting, considering the rocky terrain.

1996 BMW 328i with >260K miles on it. My other options are a 1982 Bruce Gordon framed 15-speed bike, and a '69 Raleigh Superbe 3-speed. Guess I'm really stuck in the past
