This is totally off-topic, but I've always wondered... Which one was really "first"? The one you linked to, or this one? (Family guy clip)
I mean, it's a widely recognized Internet Meme these days (much like All Your Base) but I'm curious what started it? Was the happy bananna smiley the genesis of it all, or is it only in reference to the videos that came earlier?
And with respect to the videos, did the guy do the lame blow-up of the banana smiley first, and then Family guy picked it up and ran with it, or were they the one's that first came up with it and then other guys jumped on the bandwagon?
My first encounter was with the smiley, and then with the Family guy clip. Later on I saw the video you linked to...
Just curious I guess... Anyone know the history of Peanut-Butter Jelly Time?
Adam
PS: My wife is looking over my shoulder thinking, "How lame are you to be investigating the history of some stupid Internet phenomenon?" Sigh... Once a geek, always a geek I guess.
I remember see a video of this quite a few years ago online. Family Guy, like so many other things, just rehashed it in thier own funny way. I don't know its origin, though I know its been around for a long time now. "Peanut butter Jelly with a baseball bat!"
Excellent! I plan to head straight for the Auditorium as soon as I get into town and check in with Reggie. Once you arrive and we get all your stuff unloaded, maybe we can have a look at that dimmer of his...
I haven't decided when I'm going to check in to the B&B... Maybe after I get unloaded - or I might wait until we're finished with Reggie.
Later that evening, I figure the members that have arrived early can have dinner together someplace... I'll have cell phone numbers for everyone, so it should be easy to figure out who's there and who isn't. (Right now it looks like Bill, Hayden, you, and I will be arriving around the same time. Aaron may be rolling in a bit later that evening...)
How about you, Steve-o? When are you planning to arrive? And Spec? You gonna make it this time?
Adam
Sounds great! It shouldn't take long to fix that problem I suspect.Once you arrive and we get all your stuff unloaded, maybe we can have a look at that dimmer of his...
Any idea whats around in Newton? I've been to a couple little towns around in Georgia and most seem to really close up shop pretty early. I guess we'll figure it out when we get there...Later that evening, I figure the members that have arrived early can have dinner together someplace
Hehe-
I'll wake up as early as I can(depending on what kind of a week it was) and hit the road Sat A.M. Near as I can figure its about a 3-4 hour drive (which is excellent) from here. Check in the mot. h.express and be there hopefully b4 11 a.m.
What time y'all gonna have dinner?

Hey steve-o, we're talking about ariving on friday around noon and doing something for dinner friday night. Any chance of you making it on friday? What time y'all gonna have dinner?
Blah, I'm looking at about a 7 hour drive I think. Which means I'm planning on leaving here around 5ish. I'd rather fly, but I just don't feel comfortable with checking a projector only to get back a box of parts....3-4 hour drive (which is excellent)

I don't know yet, but I'm planning a road trip up there to find out. It's about a 5 hour drive from where I am, so I'm thinking about making it an overnight trip. Get up there, drive around, see the town, then check in with Reggie, see the auditorium, take a ton of pictures (especially of the switchgear for 3 phase power!) and maybe get some info on the dimmer rack that's broken. Then try out the restaraunt that Reggie recommended before settling in for the night. Drive home the next day... If I do it, I'll be sure to post all about it here.
Yeah! Steve-o, if you can make it there Friday, we can all have dinner together. Plus that way you won't be wiped out from the drive on Saturday. Give it some thought dude...Originally Posted by DZ
Yeah, you've got a long drive ahead of you, David... Fred would have been even worse off, but it looks like he'll be busy on a business trip that weekend and won't be able to attend.Blah, I'm looking at about a 7 hour drive I think. Can't chance putting the projector on a plane!"
