Sounds good, I'll try.Yeah! Steve-o, if you can make it there Friday, we can all have dinner together. Plus that way you won't be wiped out from the drive on Saturday. Give it some thought dude...

I think Chuck will have about the longest drive so far, if he is able to make it. I do have a bit of an advantage being right at the north-east tip of florida, about 40 miles from Georgia. If you could be here in Jax by about 5am we could caravan up there. I'm gonna have to use my GPS to find the place, since it seems to be a bit off the beatin path...Hey... I'm at least 2 hours south of you...
Hi David;
Most of the drive is pretty easy... I-95 north to I-26 west to I-77 north; that puts you in Charlotte, NC where you're less than an hour from Newton. Take the 485 west bypass around Charlotte, get on I-85 south, and take state road 321 north. That puts you within 7 miles of Newton, but to get the rest of the way you'll probably want to use Mapquest or your GPS!
By the way, I'd like to publically thank you for being the first to pay in advance for SELEM, and to have paid extra to boot! Your generosity is greatly appreciated.
If anyone else would like to pre-pay, I am accepting PayPal payments at adburns@sc.rr.com. Right now we've got 8 confirmed members signed up (including me) but in the anticipation of a few extra last-minute attendees, I'm suggesting a share of $80 for any pre-pays. That should be enough to get us to our goal of $700 to cover the auditorium rental. If we end up with an overage I'll refund it to the memebers of course.
EDIT: with the reduced rental rate of $500, I'm now suggesting that the individual share be $50. And depending on how many last-minute additions we have, it may go lower than that.
Now, I need to get back to work. I need to finish putting my projector back together!

Ok, I booked our flights last week. Bill and I will be arriving in Charlotte at 12pm on Friday. So, we will be slightly later than that arriving into Newport on Friday.

Hi Hayden!
That's great news! Looking forward to seeing you both again. I'll be in Newton by noon if not earlier. I'll probably be at the Auditorium when you and Bill arrive. (I need to unload all my stuff, and then David and I plan to have a look at the dimmer rack for their house lights!) Give us a call when you get in town and we'll let you know where we are. My cell: (843) 324-0735
I think Aaron will be arriving later - perhaps around 5 pm, perhaps later. (Depends on whether his g/f can get vacation or not...) That should give us plenty of time to get checked in to the B&B.
By the way folks: I'm going to make a road trip up to Newton this coming Thursday. (the 26th) I want to get a feel for the town and surrounding area, and I plan to meet with Reggie Helton and talk some more about the facility. I'll be sure to take some pictures of the Auditorium, and especially the backstage switchgear for those of you that will be using 3 phase power! I should have a report ready to post here by the weekend.

Hi Chuck!
Great talking to you on the phone earlier... Just wanted to mention that Bill Benner said he would be bringing a couple QM-2000 systems and a couple FlaskBack 3 boards as well, so if anyone is thinking of purchasing any Pangolin hardware, you'll have the opportunity to see it in operation at SELEM before you buy it. Bill said he's willing to sell QM-2000 and FB3 controllers at the event, so if you're interested be sure to bring your check book!
