I was just scanning a bunch of old press pictures showing lasers and related things, and thought these three would be appreciated here. The first one shows the Laser Light Circus, and is from August 1977. The caption on the back reads “The Laser Light Circus at the New London Theatre Drury Lane puts on a non-stop circus of light and music, where the audience is free to walk around in the arena and the auditorium is literally filled with amazing, changing structures of light. This sort of laser entertainment is made possible by using the output of six lasers. Two more will be illuminating the holograms on display, and the ninth (a 60 watt Argon 921 - the largest laser in production) will be working from the roof of the theatre every night.” Credit: Bandphoto.

The next one shows John Boesche of Chicago, and is from December 1979. The caption reads “John Boesche stands in his “Perspectives / Corolaries” exhibition of white light and red laser beams at ARC gallery.” Credit: Ed Dietrich.

Finally we have laser beams over Houston in this April 1986 pic. The caption reads “Houston’s skyline looked like a scene from another world as Jarre’s lasers and lights lit up the sides of skyscrapers downtown. A million people turned out to see it.” Credit: Houston Chronicle.
