For an alternate option for PoE supplier, check out Silvertel (http://www.silvertel.com/products/po...-ethernet.html)

I've been using some of their modules for other projects and they have a selection of reasonably priced modules for both PSE and PD

THe cases also look to be available from Aliexpress (https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Unil...829352564.html)

Yeah, I've used Silvertel's stuff for other projects and they're great (redid my Burning Man camp lights a few years ago with custom PoE LED controllers using the Ag9712). Unfortunately their PoH PD modules only do 24 volt output, which would have been a pain to deal with. :/

Default I Must Take Exception With Your Title

    Dear j4cbo,

Upon having received two of the cases you built your 3W projectors into, I feel I must express my dissatisfaction with your original thread title. These cases are not only small, they are REALLY SMALL! Here is a picture of two of them side by side with a pen to compare size:

This means you managed to get 3W of corrected multimode beams, a spatial filter, galvos, and an Etherdream all into this tiny, tiny case. Wow!

I feel it only fair to refer to this thread as "Getting twenty pounds of laser into a five pound bag". In any case, I look forward to duplicating the majority of the work you and PolishedBall did to create this little wonder.

    Sincerely,

    -David

Nice... What lenses you used to create the spatial filter in such small space ?
    I didn't fail !
I just found out 10,000 ways that didn't work.

    Very Nice Housing.
which housing is that? Do I see that right that you have only milled the front and back and the rest of the housing was from a NAS? It looks like that.
