    Default Steven Hawking is gone.................

Rest in peace Steven.... You will be missed.
He was the Einstein of our day.
Coincidentally Steven died on the same date
    that Albert was born.

I got to meet him and spend a few hours with him. He was a very special person. I rarely cry when I hear someone I only knew for a few hours passes. Today I cry.

I've read A Brief History of Time and liked it (what I could understand at least . . ).

Hawking was certainly the most well known physicist of our day, but I understand among the great physicists, he wasn't that highly regarded. I, having little more than a beetle sized brain, have no ability to judge his relative physics prowess, though. :0

So what are all the people that sat next to him trying to figure out what he was trying to say going to do for a living? Hope that Neil Degrasse Tyson gets ALS?!?

part of me, the really important part of me, believes this is exactly what is happening right now.

goodbye professor hawking. may you slip the surly bonds of your body and dance the skies in a red tesla roadster.

you made us all a little bit better.

suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
