    You get what you pay for..... STILL
    but still, these budget lasers are good for most gig not requiring precision graphics, like club work, hence the name

    X-Laser really blew the awesome opportunity to title this video, "The new X-Laser 'Dark Laser', aka 'the DASER'!!!"

    That being said, I've made plenty of dark lasers in the past. Just exceed the current limit on a single-mode red diode and watch what happens...

    the Dark laser is just a uv or Ir laser. It is well known that if you overdrive a laser diode out of its heatsink it will rapidly begin to emit in the 10 micron region and become a continuum though non coherent source of Ir radiation. If you continue to input energy eventual after sweeping through the 600-400nm region will become a uv radiation source briefly before the metal of the device boils away. As in mechanics a bigger hammer as in photonics a bigger hv.
