Default Selling/trading 3 sets of Coherent 60, 80 watt IR laser diodes with power supply

    Greetings to all

Willing to sell these or trade for them. Make an offer.

I have 7 sets of coherent laser diodes with power supplies with objective lenses that were pulled from CTP machines (computer to plate) that have been laying around for some time now.

4 pcs 80 watt and 3 pcs 60 watt. They all come with their respective power supply, which are water cooled, same as the diodes.

All of them I have pulled from Agfa CTP’s.

4 sets I am keeping to myself for all kinds of fun project ahead but 3 I’m willing to part with.

The CTP’s are rated for over a million plates produced over it’s lifetime without replacing the optical bed that houses the diode, GLV (grating light valve) and all the magnification and focusing lens assemblies. The machines produced barely over 220K plates over their whole lifetime in operation and optics bed hasn't been pushed beyond 45 amps for 80 watt and 24 amps for 60 watt to maintain exposure. So the laser diodes have over ¾ of their life span intact.

    - Let us get into a more interesting side now, some specs:

The power supplies as I mentioned are water cooled, made by a US company Tri Source Inc. (from what I know, dissolved now as of 2016)

The supply runs of 180-265 V AC at 47-63 Hz and outputs CC up to 120 amps at 2.2V. Both diodes and the supply have a grounded anode design.

Fully adjustable from 1-120 amps. Controlled by an analog input with 1k impedance that can accept both CC and CV signals. Since it’s 1000 ohms, it doesn’t matter if it’s current or voltage- it’s balances out equally. 0-6V or 0-6mA to get full 120 amps out. Additionally, there is current monitoring output from an op-amp voltage follower circuit through a 1K resistor.

The diodes run at 67 amps MAX for 60 watt and 85 amps max for 80 watt. No more than 2.2 volt should ever go across the cathode and anode. All diodes output 830nm wavelength at 20.0 °C intended cooling work temp. The temperature should not go over 22°C during operation.

Diode with power supply and GLV were originally cooled in the CTP with a portable vapor phase change chiller running on R134A. Optimum flow rate 4.5 l/m at 1-1.4 bar for everything.

-If interested, I also have FT-110 series flow rate sensors made by Gems sensors and Controls that came from the same optics bed of the machine, to shut down the laser if cooling flow stops. (sold for separate price)

-The setup is plug and play pretty much; you get everything necessary to power on the laser to full power out of the box.

The things required from your side are of course:

Electrical experience to keep you alive and well
    Laser training and safety precautions
Protective eyewear capable of blocking near IR with good OD rating
Your own chiller for the laser set

I will be selling these from our company, so the price will also have VAT added. If you buy from a EU company with valid EU VAT number, then the VAT is deducted.

The 60 watt laser will be 800 EUR + EE VAT 20% and the 80 watt will be 900 EUR + EE VAT 20%

Please ask any question or express any interest and we can always trade, if you have something interesting

    Default price

what are the prices for the 60w and 85w units?
would love to incorporate one of them in my laser engraver.

On this end of the spectrum we are accustomed to work in Euros, well ever since the switch to them from Estonian kroons in 2011.

I was trying to make a reasonable price with these. Before, I've seen these diodes alone go from 2-3K a piece without power supply. Though like I've stated in the article, we would be willing to trade for these.

Covid did some nasty damage here too and it seems the end is no where in sight.

    Default Platinum, Gold, or Silver?

    Here in the U.S.,
Unemployment pay outs and evection stay is about to end this week,
Meaning that 20million will loose there unemployment checks and 14million will be evicted from there homes, and the Stimulus checks have not been approved by congress yet "some time in the next month or two" the U.S. will again print from thin air free money brining on the ultimate destruction of the U.S. economy faster than the first round of thin air free money pay out.
Lucky Wife and I have a small stock pile of metals to fall back on and some properties.
As for trade goods, Harley Davidson 96 lowrider 88', 6 Soda and 2 snack vending machines, 2 slot machines, CCTV's for low vision reading, a few things for helping the blind (wife is blind) Braille display for computer "the list is high in the aids for the blind and quite expensive (Braille display $12k).
knowing that shipping anything medium to large to the other side of the world would cost more than the trade would be worth, how about some metals at spot price?

At least the US has it's own money to print, either backed up or on thin air. We abandoned our own currency to adopt Merkel's wet dream of slowly crippling Europe and dragging us down with it.

While it's nice to have a fair trade for anything really, i was thinking of maybe trading for parts in the laser field? Like for example: if someone wants this laser setup for engraving or whatever and has spare cylindrical optics for fast axis and slow collimation or spare vanadate, SHG or THG crystals etc... More like that.

I have plenty of laser diode but lacking optics, crystals, optical fibers etc...

But what metals are you offering?

    Default Marshall Law

    Platinum, Gold, Silver,
The Arizona Gov Declared Marshall law on the cities of Tucson Arizona and Phoenix Arizona is next and the rest is to follow the implement.
My Wife and I discussed any one of the three metals, She Ruled the decision as "not at this time" how ever in the coming months if you still have them for sale and sanctions are lifted here, then you and I can work out a deal on the lasers. Arizona is one of the hardest states in the U.S. hit by the PLANDEMIC "no mistake in spelling" I 'm wishing both our countries recover
economically, i had no idea your country was suffering as bad as we are here in the U.S.! I am truly interested in your lasers. I believe that the covid is real but the gov is using it to there agenda of going bitcoin, Thats a joke! How can a virtual data be traded as currency and for one bitcoin be worth In EUROS 19,126.94 , In U.S.$23,460 and rise and fall in hundreds to thousands in just few hours? sounds like an investment scam to me, There are only three ways to obtain a bit coin is to be paid by bitcoin, buy bitcoin or to bitcoin mine.
I don,t want to take up your thread talking about unrelated stuff but do enjoy talking with you. would you mind going to PM and keeping in contact?

Understood about the metals now. Although i would prefer to trade for laser related components or say workbench equipment - power meters, power supplies, DMM's etc. - You name it.

I see no reason why we can't talk, if you wish just PM me.

The one time i used Bitcoin was to purchase custom made software, can't say the experience was pleasant.

    Reducing the prices:

    60 watt laser set - 1500 EUR + EE VAT 20%
    80 watt laser set - 2000 EUR + EE VAT 20%

Also have matching chillers to sells, if interested.
