Default Help chose between LaserCube or Venus RGB 3000

Newbie looking to buy first laser projector, both these units are same in price wondering if Venus RGB 3000 has better specs than LaserCube.

a lot depends on what your application is. the venus is brighter and has better galvos, but the lasercube smaller and can run on batteries.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.

Use at home/garage to create a party vibe, I presume I'll also need DAC & SW.

well, the lasercube comes with a dac and software. if you're just doing party stuff, the lasercube software has some pretty great music reactive modes.

if you get the venus or the unity laser, you'll need to purchase software and a dac.

thank you, what DAC and SW do you recommend. I have read LSX or FB4 series are good, I presume with LaserCube I will be stuck with their software and can't use LSX.

i do all my laser show programming with LSX and etherdream dacs. LSX (and a number of other packages) have native support for LaserCubes. FB4 is only supported by Pangolin software (quickshow and beyond).

The Radiator is a lot of fun for live play and it supports ilda outputs, etherdream dac, and the lasercube (disclaimer, i'm one of the creators of the Radiator and might be slightly biased).
