    Default Vintage Lasers & Holograms

I've finally got my new exhibit called "Vintage Lasers & Holograms" up and running. Still need to move a late '70s SP-170 ion laser system in, and get a display case for plasma-tubes, but it's mostly there. The website linked below is up and a press release will go out on Tuesday. Anyone traveling past Phoenix should stop in for a peek. I'm only 10 minutes away from Sky Harbor airport.

Laser (the acronym derived from Light Amplification by Stimulated Emissions of Radiation) is a spectacular manifestation of this process. It is a source which emits a kind of light of unrivaled purity and intensity not found in any of the previously known sources of radiation. - Lasers & Non-Linear Optics, B.B. Laud.

I'm happy to announce that this exhibit will be extended for the next year at least. I have to say the combination of holograms with old lasers really seems to work well, though they tend to steal the show amongst the general public. But that's fine with me!
