    But yeah, Ethan has brought a few of his vintage Amiga machines to SELEM in the past. He's got an A2500 that has one of the original Pangolin QM-16 cards in it, and he managed to get the LD400 software running on it. He also had a hacked hard drive controller card that allowed him to use a modern SSD with the Amiga!

    Thanks! I have a great iMac sitting right in front of me!

    I sent the disk off to a data recovery service so stand by, we'll see what happens. Thanks so much for your help and suggestions. I am also in touch with Ethan on this forum, who has tons of Amiga experience.

    Unhappy data recovery failure

    I got the call - the data recovery failed. I'm having the hard drive sent back and will consider my next options. I used Gillmore. Maybe someone else can do it?

    Facebook has many groups about vintage computers, buy, sell, repair, software, emulations, new retro hardware, etc... Some are very specific to a particular brand.

    All software has a learning curve usually proportional to its capabilities and unique features. Pointing with a mouse is in no way easier than tapping a key.
