Might be useful to someone. It's editable. Uses very basic supplies and forms a very rigid case.
I like the structural aluminium idea that Dave posted too. And Carl's flightcase. That's cool.
my buddy used a junction box for housing a 250mw green projector.
the aperture is one of the punch out plugs meant for wire bundles in the boxes intended use.
the lid is hinged and has clasps for closing.
kind of getto, but cheap and effective.
just mount stuff on aluminum and then into the box.
some of you guys have really beautiful cases for your lasers and i praise your work.
this could be a solution for someone wanting to do less metal fabrication.
i imagine there are junction boxes large enough for an rgb projector.
You'd probably need something as big as a 100 amp load center to house a full RGB projector. Maybe even a 200 amp load center. That's getting up there in price though. Plus you'd have to remove the bus for the breakers...
Then again, I don't know how expensive that corner channel stuff is that Dave recommended. (Sure looks nice though.)

How expensive is "not cheap"?
Dave said that his last case cost him a couple hundred. (I don't know if he meant $200+ in US or Australian dollars though.) But either way, that was a *huge* case he had there...
Anyway, how does protocase compare cost-wise?
Adam
