I just had this thought. I am sure someone has thought/brought this up before... Is Delaware really considered the South? Hahaha... It's not where you are now... it's where you started out.
I've run into this before. Anything due west of Wilmington is most definitely "south" Delaware. Once we were driving over the DMB into DE and our alternator shit the bed. About two miles before the Newark rest area (now the Biden Welcome Center) we lost all electrics and in one mile I lost the motor too. So I shifted into neutral and literally coasted into the rest area, into the lower empty parking lot and parked.
When on the phone with AAA tow truck, he kept saying am I in South Delaware.. I'm like no -- I just got off the bridge a few minutes ago. If anything, I'm in North EAST Delaware! To me South Delaware is Dover, Smyrna, or Rehobeth Beach. But no, he INSISTED I was in South Delaware. Ok, fine, just come get my car!!
Ok, as I did last year, I put together a preliminary SELEM schedule in Teamup here: SELEM 2023 Schedule
I used last year's as a template, and added in what's different this year.
Please let me know if there are any errors or changes or if you'd like a spot on the schedule.
If you want to look at last year's schedule, click here: SELEM 2022 Schedule
thanks.
Looks good!
Thanks for doing this Hank.
Thanks Hank! ... and thanks again and again. Is that 15 characters?
I've booked at Embassy. Coming in Friday the 4th since I'll be working the Echos show on Saturday. Any chance of an airport pickup? PHL at 8pm on Friday.
suppose you're thinkin' about a plate o' shrimp. Suddenly someone'll say, like, plate, or shrimp, or plate o' shrimp out of the blue, no explanation. No point in lookin' for one, either. It's all part of a cosmic unconciousness.
I feel like I'm going to be all by myself at the Holiday Inn.
