I found the spoken intro and outro of Crystal Odyssey inspiring, but the bulk of the narration I would have to class as high corn ball.

My recollection from 1981 is that those types of effects were referred to as "interference patterns".

You're not the first to tell me so, but I fail to see it. Yeah, his presentation manners are quite authoritarian, in an old schoolmaster kinda way.
Hungover sour grapes from witnessing confrontational tech debates on this forum, perhaps? I could easily imagine that happening with Planters.

No doubt, some others here harbor similar feelings after having crossed lasers against myself (yeah, Laserist. I'm talking to you).
Admittedly, I arrived unknown and with an anti-social, pseudo-cantankerous hermit's character, from years' worth of battling hostile YT trolls, which also made me quite punch-happy. This community has now become my sanctuary from politics, especially.... never mind. Don't get me started.
However, after realizing to whom I was addressing, I've become far more humble with regrets and more respectful towards the amazing folks within this community.
I sincerely hope to earn others' acceptance among the 'elders' enough to be considered as a peer.
Thank you 'Dog, for summoning these inner feelings and the opportunity to express those regrets. 😜
