Hello all
My first day with laser. I’m using light burn with a galvo laser. When I create a image and view the image and preview it looks correct but when I frame and mark with the laser it’s very squished. Please help?

When I still could have...
... seems your XY-calibration isn't correct ... is it with galvo only or turning axis too?

I don’t understand. In Lightburn I have x & y locked on 20mm. Why would not mark correct on the laser side?
... construct a square with 100x100mm in Lightburn, mark it and measure the result.
If it's not correct, then you have to change the Scaling of the specific axis in the Galvo-configuration ...

Thanks VDX
I made some changes in the configuration and that helped. Its not marking a perfect square at 100mm but im getting the concept. Thank you for the help.
... you have to adjust the configuration, until the result is "perfect".
Beside the X/Y-dimensions there is tilting, "planarity" (head not in the same horizontal orientation as the working area) and "pillow distortion", which will show curved lines in outer areas.
Another problem with the cheapish chinese optics are wrong distances between mirrors and lenses, what will show a spheric abbreviation of the focus plane, which normally should form a perfect horizontal plane (made with an "f-theta" objective) ... here different optics needs different distance rings ... if not correct, then such abbreviations ...
