Spec had to take some drastic action a little over a week ago, as someone was hammering the forum with hundreds of thousands (!) of simultaneous connections, which made the forum completely unresponsive. (He figured someone was trying to scrape all the text to train a large language model, but they were doing it in the most disruptive, ham-fisted manner possible, so he put a stop to it.)

Ever since he fixed that issue (back on the 15th or so), I haven't had any issues accessing the forum.

Thanks Adam. "Hammering" the site was sure evident as my recent post suddenly had many thousands of "reads" in just a few days which was very uncharacteristic. Greg had noticed a similar things days before that.

I've not had any issues this past week.
