Welcome to join monthly ILDA Digital Network Zoom meeting

At the 2025 SELEM meeting earlier this month, a number of people were talking about the ILDA Digital Network standard.

There were some good ideas and suggestions.

The easiest way to bring those to the people working on IDN is to attend the monthly IDN Zoom meeting. Hosted by Matthias Frank from Germany (which is why the instructions below are in German), this month it will be on Thursday August 14 starting at 2 pm US Eastern time. Usually though it is the last Thursday of each month. If you want to get on the monthly reminder list, reply below with your email address or write directly to me at mail@ilda.com.

Anyone can attend; you do not have to be an ILDA Member. You just have to have an interest in helping improve an open-source networking project/standard.

I hope to see some SELEM people at the next meetings, with their good ideas!

I had this meeting on my calendar to attend but I got delayed while moving my daughter into college. Are there any available notes or can someone at least summarize any interesting discussions. The main thing I am really interested in is if this standard is dead on arrival or if there is any momentum for adoption. Most of the DAC makers from 10-20 years ago are no longer making them. Etherdream and Helios are actually the only two I know of now that available and neither of these are really all that supported. It would be wonderful to just start making IDN the standard supported interface for my software.
