Default Advice On Improving Old DT40 Pro Scanner

    Hi all,

Bought the DT40 Pro back in 2008/2009 and had it shipped directly to Pangolin for modifications.

Anyway, I played with it briefly with a single-color laser, lost interest then put it away. I recently dug it out after I came across a 500mw RGB module with TTL/analog modulation I obtained a couple of years ago. RGB just makes it a whole lot more interesting to look at.

My question is since it was already tuned by Pangolin, can it be made even better by adding all the missing components shown in the attached schematic and retune it?

    Thanks

NO, if any-thing needed to be added back in, Pangolin did it already. Main board change in that mod was the threshold for the limiting diodes was lowered by switching to Schottky diodes from the existing Silicon and the gain on the position demodulator was changed. If Bill Benner tuned them, then there will be nothing to improve.
