I need ideas to build my NEW RGB laser !!!

Hi there..
Long time no see...

I have build 2 RGB lasers now (rebuild) !
And now I want to rebuild my RGB with more red, more green and soon more blue !!

But before I start disamble my old RGB, I want to be sure I know how I want to have my new laser!
Do you have any ideas there to share ??

This is what I got so far:

300mW green
400mW red (soon I have 800mW)
200mW blue (soon i hope do double that)

I want to make a RGB laser that is the same quality as a professional laser.
(mostly on the outside)
I want to have that option to rent it out and not think that ppl dont want to pay me becouse it looks like a cheap homemade laser :-)

I thinking about have bouncing mirrors on the laser. !?
And I wonder about have a lumia wheel on it !?
And I also wonder if I want a BIG laser with all acsessorys, (add more lasers later) or should I make it small (no more upgrades later on)

Is there anybody that have any pictures of RGB laser setup ??

I wonder if I need to make my RGB in 3 floors.
1th is power supplys
2th is the laser heads
and on the top the Galvo+bounche mirrors !

I did add 2 pictures of the setup that I use as inspiration


plz give me some tip..
I`m not used to rent out\use laser out on the field.. so I dont know what I need and what I dont need !!

about the pictures..
I want to have mirrors on top like that..
But only 4-5 mirrors on each side maybe..

The problem is where to place lasers so I can easy adjust the RGB aligment ?

I would hermetically seal the optics (laser heads-scanners) from the psu's and put fans in the other compartments. (heat rises unless blown out w/ fans/heatsinks) -no fans in the optics/laserheads compartment(s)

i love that mirror device.
can you target a zone for full scans that bypasses the bounce array?

we usually use stage mirrors with our ilda system but one of the limitations is having to target the first bounce mirrors within the scan angle and doing a second bounce if we want to flank the stage.

if your mirror modules had 360 degree clearance you could do single bounces wide on stage and not loose the power on a double bounce.
just wandering in my mind.
that device is cool!

of course the right bank of mirrors would cover the opposite side of the stage and vice versa.

That is quite the array there. I fully agree with steve-o on sealing the optics etc. This is an issue close to my heart since I have 17 optics that aren't encased at all on my laser for now.

But it was the award winning laser from lasernet year 06 i think !


Anyway, yes I will have all PSU stuff in one section with fans..
But why no fans on the lasers\optics ? (becouse of dust?)

And , do you think I need bounce mirrors ??
Do I need lumia wheel ?

and is it better with a big scanner , or a small one ?

If you primarily want a laser to hire out, and make some money, keep it simple. The more complex you make it, the harder it will be to set up/align before a gig.

By sealing your optic chamber, you virtually eliminate the need to clean any of the optics, and i hate cleaning optics, as it usually means pulling the projector to bits to get good access.

That looks like a pain to align. How does that thing run? Different projection zones for the main/upper/center and the lower/side/beam show?
