If your DAC outputs 10v p-p and your scanner amp requires 10vp-p then it's OK. But since I don't know which DAC or scanner amp you are using I can't confirm anything. It sounds like you are a little confused with it all so I don't trust the information you are providing enough to say it will absolutely be OK. Maybe post a schematic or specs and we can go from there.

Here's the DAC schematic and the scanner set is a 10k set in the manual it says scanner input -5v to +5v(10vp-p), which is what confuses me sorry i'm new, if you havn't picked that up already

Also the schematic only shows one lead for blanking, do you just use the ground for the DAC as your "-" for blanking?

That isn't the correct schematic for norm's DAC.
On his DAC board there is a connection for +/- 15v, a 7805 voltage reg, some extra capacitors and outputs for R+G.

For some reason I can't locate the schematic for norm's DAC anywhere, even on his site.

On the bottom the 3 circuits just show
    a) the +/- 15v input (PS on the board, next to where the IC1 7805 is)
    b) the 7805 (IC1) 5v regulator and capacitors.
    c) capacitors to smooth the voltages on IC's 3,4 and 5.

The circuit is pretty much the popelscan circuit in this thread.

Right just got the parts today, now i'm still as confused as always This schematic is really frustrating me. So I did a bit of editing, I'm I on the right track? Ok so if that is right the other 2 caps C6 and C7 are inline with the power source, right? And as for the power supply, what is the difference between the GND and the -15v? It doesn't seem to show where the -15v goes. Is it just me or is this schematic a little confusing. Well all and any help would be much appreciate, thanks guys
