    Nice!!

I used to own a real OSCar, but sold it to get into this whole laser game! The OSCar is still one of my favorite synths, it really has a nasty dirty sound to it!

I have a mate wanting a laser harp, so I might be hitting you up soon for the plans. What processor are you using for this?

I'm using an Arduino for the harp processor.

    - actually it's a Boarduino from www.adafruit.com - really cheap about $20.

It uses the Atmel Mega 168 processor.

    Hey Dave

    small world init ...

we also had an OSCar to compliment our Korg MS20

it was one of the first MIDI analog synths, if i remember the name was derived from the Oxford Synthisizer Company

it was a cool bit of kit in its day ( mid to late 80s i think )

and Shobley ..... well done with the Harp thats well impressive ... its the dogs bollocks

    all the best ..... Karl

What *we* need is for Steve to bring his laser harp to SELEM 2008 this summer! Then we can broadcast live while he's playing it!

Whatcha say, Steve? It's only ~ 8.5 hours by car... You got any plans for the weekend of August the 16th and 17th?

Yeah, quite a history behind its creator, Chris Huggett... He seems like quite the synth Guru! After Designing the EDP wasp, the OSCar was the next progression, then onto AKAI to work on some of the early Akai S series samplers, and finally back to Novation to work on the novation stuff! Busy boy!

I've got an old Roland SH2000 analogue synth stored away in my loft. May put it up for sale if anyone's interested.

I believe there's been quite a lot of interest in these recently, I know FatBoy Slim uses one
