before refunding any money why dont you see what the members who participated want to do?? i understand that you had an emergency arise, and sometimes "shit happens." i dont think there is any hard feelings here (well, with me anyway.) although, it would be good to try and make up for lost time.

why dont you provide a list of exactly who entered and how much money exactly is waiting to be refunded. maybe we can still do the raffle and just have somebody else in charge of it. i dont even remember how much i paid to be in it and what my numbers are, but its money that isnt missed too much. like lasermad just said, by now the price of the module probably has lowered a little and with the money you already have and the members that already signed up, we may have the cost covered.

i dont know about the "script" or program you wrote. maybe with the list and and the money give it to someone who is obviously trusted by everyone here. buffo? dz? (if they wouldnt mind the responsibility. im not offering their services, just giving an idea...???) and have them randomly draw a name or something? i dont know...just my opinion. i would have no issues with one of them or someone else we all trust drawing a random name.

just trying to come up with alternatives. but i think a COMPLETE list of names who entered and a complete list of money you have will settle a few unnerved (understanably) members here.

Why not set the end of the raffle for the end of August this would give any last minute takers a chance to have a go ... then put all the paid for numbers in a hat and draw from that .... with the prize being what ever value is in the pot ... we have enough forum suppliers who im sure would be able to provide a deal for the value of the prize

Many thanks for hosting and running the swap server , its clear you have done a lot for the community here , and i am sorry to hear you are still unwell .... but its clear with this raffle things got on top of you , but when dealing with other peoples money you need to be 100% transparent .

It seems like theres a few folks who want to keep it running although I would question wether thats fair for the people who put in X amount with the chance of winning a prize valued at X amount , who now only have the chance of winning smaller value prize , according to tickets sold around 370 euro.

Its also not clear from the beginning wether the unit for prize was a second hand unit 500mW 532nm or a brand new one , i dont think it has been cleared up HOW the winner will be fairly picked and also its not clear wether there will be some dt40s in prize pool ond wether they would be second hand or not .As of yet i dont believe you have offered a screenshot of your paypal account or refunded any cash which doesnt look good on your own integrity .......... personally i think you need to pull something out the hat to make this come good.

Also i am not the PL police , and i never did buy tickets as from the outset i felt 225 tickets was going to be wayy too many to sell .....the only reason i pulled myself into this thread was following a few comments from PL friends on the phone in the last month who were becoming concerned ...i dont mind playing the big bad wolf or devils advocate here if it gets the result of a happy winner and you walking away with your reputation intact .
