Here is my setup:
3x USB Easylase board.
And 2x RGB lasers, 1x Green single.
The problem is that sometimes 1 of the projector stop to give output.
I can run all 3 lasers mapped on the same track, but after 1-2 minute one or 2 of the lasers stop to give output.
When reporting, please make sure to mention also version numbers of all relevant files (Mamba itself, all MLD files (for those with no version info please exact size in Bytes(!) and date), etc.). First step in general: Make sure all drivers are updated. For USB-Devices, this means also updating the drivers for the USB communcation chips used. (In case of Easylase: FTDI FT245xx chip, see FTDI Website)
drivers you say eeh....
I think it`s hard to find "new" drivers when I dont know where to search.
I did buy my Easylase form JM-laser.
So when I install my easylase, I just visit Jm-laser website to find any drivers.
But I guess the drivers at that page is 4-5 years old ??
I still use the same drivers for my board as I did the first time I did buy my Easylase !
one other thing, as I often reinstall windows on my computer.
I dont have mamba "installed" , I just run the .exe files from the folder.
Is that a OK way to use mamba, or is it best that the mamba is installed on the computer??
Cheers![]()
Hi,
Here is the latest Driver.
If old drivers are already installed, it could be a problem to install the new one, because Windows remembers the old "inf" files and asks for old files, like "FTD2XX.SYS". This happens even if the old driver was deinstalled.

Maybe someone get this problem... today I must make some show and still get this bug
Some time move or scale effect not work fluently but "stroke" (2 or 3 steps).
I see this problem only when I change somethink in show. If I run show direct after load then it's ok. Additional, when effects work stroke then I press pause- when I move cursor on time linie (rwind the show) then efects work good ;/
Now I have M2.0 byt remember that v1.9 also get this problem.
CPU load when show is runing is about 40%

Now I have rebuilt my new 1W+ RGB laser, but the first thing that happens is that Mamba Fail to play shows !!
After 10-20 second Mamba STOP to display output to the DAC\LASER and I have nothing...
Some shows dont play at all.
I have Mamba Black 1.9 .
I sent 2 bugs repport to Medialas from mamba software.
I also sent 2 e-mails to Medialas witn NO ANSWER !!
I also want to upgrade, so i filled in the "form" ... go No responce.
is Medialas and Mamba software DEAD ???
How can I run any show with my lasers when Mamba is failing ??
I have MB 1.97 and Easylase, it's good, not problem.
Suggest that you try to update the Dac 'mld'file.
I think that the ML, 1.9 does not improve series.
I think that the ML only the 2.0 or 2.5 version they care about. I think ML not user friendly.
I like the MB as an amateur laserist, but if I'm rich, I buy a Pangolin.

FB3-QS is very reasonably priced at @£500.
In time line terms is probably not as advanced as Mamba but thats because its semi-professional software. However for live playback, its very capable with nothing even close at the price and its also very easy to use which is a big bonus and you can still create timeline shows. The main limitations to QS are in the timeline and cue editor.
Everything else is pretty much professional even down to including Beam Attenuation Maps, mirror targetting, 32 projection zones etc etc.
Beyond is due out some time this year and should take things to the very next level.
In the meantime, why not try out the QS demo if you do a lot of live stuff:
There's a demo here: http://www.pangolin.com/_Files/Setup_QS2_Ev.exe
